Why both
The models are good now, and getting one to answer is not the hard part. The hard part is using it well: choosing the cheapest model that can answer, grounding the answer in what is actually true, remembering what was learned, stopping for a person when a person should decide, and doing all of that at a cost that survives contact with a bill.
That work is a framework and an engine, and it is only honest if it is measured on hardware. So the Lab builds in the open and publishes what it measures, including what did not work. The Cloud is where the same systems run for other people, on machines we own, with a record of every placement and provision.
The names are deliberate. Praecise Harness makes an agent work. Praecise Engine makes a model faster. They sit at different levels and are used independently. Praecise Cloud is the managed side of an app written with the Harness: one key instead of a page of endpoints, and nothing in the code changes.

Measure on hardware
A simulation is only as right as its cost model, and the only test of a cost model is measurement. Numbers on this site are cited to the file they came from.

Publish the negative result
An idea that was measured to do nothing stays documented, so it is not rebuilt. Absence is not evidence.

Refuse rather than substitute
An unknown backend, an unlicensed drafter, a tool call outside the guard: each is an error that says what was valid, never a quiet fallback.

Licences in code, not comments
Which checkpoints an engine may load and which extensions a store may use are enforced where they are used. Both projects are Apache-2.0.

Open source is complete on its own
The Harness runs on your endpoints, your database and your storage. The Cloud is the managed side of the same app: the config gets shorter, the code does not change.
